Hi All, Back to the birds, hopefully! At Avalon Airport today I noticed a Banded Lapwing with 2 recently fledged chicks. I have only seen them once at the Western Treatment Plant so far and they are no longer nesting in the old haunts that they used in the late 80s. Also saw 6 Cape Barren Geese feeding off the side of the road near the Avalon Speedway, are these birds from Serendip, as per the Brolgas? Happy twitching or birding, Paul ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Paul McDonald Division of Botany and Zoology School of Life Sciences Australian National University Canberra, A.C.T.
