My first impressions of the new S & D guide were that it was very disappointing. I only browsed in the book shop (which is all I'll do for a while) but it seemed that little of importance has changed. The vagrants section is an interesting attempt to deal with this group of birds but appeared somewhat ad hoc. If those who have bought the book and have taken the time to look through it thoroughly would post their comments I'd be keen to read them. Cheers Niven ************ P.O.
