To: John Harris Dear John The owls were all dealt with in the last volume (Volume 4) of HANZAB (Handbook of Australian, New Zealand and Antarctic Birds). That will give you a summary of the biology of all species, including details of food and breeding, and a complete reference list to main sources as well as many less-important and anecdotal sources. The reference list would be complete to the end of 1997, with most (but not all) references published in 1998 also included. Basically, it will give you all you need.
