Hi All,
By this I will kindly request for informations about the
Pale-headed Rosella ( Platycercus adscitus ).
Among other how can you see the different between
the " Blue-cheeked " Pale-headed Rosella and
the " White-cheeked " Pale-headed Rosella - as
well as the " hybrid " ... !
Are there different races of the Pale-headed Rosella ?
And what is their distribution ranges ... ?
Do the Pale-headed Rosella hybridises with the
Eastern Rosella ( Platycercus eximius ) ... ?
Are there any records of a mixed breeding pair
- Pale-headed and Eastern Rosella ?
At our recent visit at Cape York I had seen
Pale-headed Rosella, which had some similar
colours - especially the rumpcolour - as the
Northern Rosella ( platycercus venustrus ),
I had been told that the Pale-headed Rosella at Cape York
is the socall : " Blue-cheeked " Pale-headed Rosella.
And in southern Qeensland I saw " White-cheeked "
Pale-headed Rosella, but with blue cheeks ... !
And furthermore it look for me that these Rosellas were
larger and more robust than the Rosellas at Cape York.
I thanks you in advance for the informations about
the Pale-headed Rosella.
You are most welcome to contact me directly.
Best wishes from Denmark, Peter
