As mentioned in other mail the SAOA held it's (official)monthly outing at
Winninowie CP south of Pt Augusta on 30/31 Nov. The park has a wide variety
of habitats ranging fron sand/mud flats to samphire marsh, dry woodland,
mallee, open paddocks, chenopod, etc. On Saturday the weather was dry and
warm, but overnight it rained a lot and on Sunday morning the roads were
very sloppy. Some of us camped overnight and had to use the wet roads in
order to meet and direct day visitors.
However, the rain seemed to bring out some birds on Sunday which we hadn't
seen on Saturday, and the clouds rolled off towards the west by 9.30am, so
some good birding was had by the 14 attendees.

There's nothing quite like the feeling of seeing a new bird is there?
