In the same general area where Trevor recently reported Cape Barren Geese and Cattle Egrets, Rolly LLoyd & I saw 65 Glossy Ibis yesterday.  This is by far the most Glossys either of us have seen in the southern parts of SA.  The birds were where the Bremer River enters Lake Alexandrina on the Milang to Langhorne Creek Road.  Latham's Snipe were also common at Milang.

Last Saturday while visiting the northern shore of Lake Alexandrina (20km south of Murray Bridge in SA) I saw a flock of about 160 Cape Barren Geese feeding on irrigated pasture. After observing them for a few minutes they all flew off further north as an ultra light plane flew over the area. Coordinates for interested people are as follows 35 19 16 S  139 13 53 E on the road from Langhorne Creek to Wellington and about 14 km west from Wellington SA.Trevor Hampel
