On Sunday the 3 October at Mullers Lagoon I heard my first Indian Koel for the season. Bowen Qld. 20.00S During our one hour meeting I recorded approx 40 species observed or heard and advised the other participants at the conclusion of the species list. Of course I'm not suggesting that the meeting was boring, I expect it just comes from hearing background bird calls on TV programs such as Sea Change. No Dollarbirds as yet.
