Hello Aussie birders I had hoped to respond to many if not all of the responses to my inquiry regarding Australian field guides, but the number of responses, both from natives and some Americans and others, that I don't think I can! The overwhelming majority recommended the newest Pizzey guide, but many folks seemed to augment this with one of the others. I think I can get the newest Pizzey for study before the trip, and I'll decide when I get there whether or not to boost my collection (though I will have to carry everything around). Thank you all! I hope I receive even half as many responses when I ask about specific birding sites along my itinerary (and I definitely will). Again, many thanks.
