Dear Peter,
I really feel very stupid. I should have realised everything you have
taken the trouble to tell me - after all, it was only about 4 years ago
that my husband rescued 3 freshly hatched Masked lapwing chicks that got
into trouble trying to get to shore from the log on which their parents
had decided to nest, in our lagoon.
What happened in this case was that for some reason I visualised Magpie
Larks when I read Masked Lapwings - it must be old age creeping towards
me!!
Sorry to bother you.
Cheers
Anne
