Hello all-
I have been birding Australia vicariously for a month or so now from
my vantage point here in far-off Portland, Oregon, USA. I'm a student,
and I'm going to be spending a semester down there. I'm wondering what
the standard is for field guides there. I consider myself a fairly good
birder, and not in need of a beginner type guide. I'd be curious as to
what you all think. I have heard recommendations here of the latest
Pizzey (with Knight, I believe?). Any opinions on this? You can
respond to me privately, but if you feel this is a topic worth
discussing publicly, that's great with me! I'd love to see dialogue on
this.
Thanks all!
Jesse Ellis
PS- I'll be asking for more regional info when I get my travel plans
set. I can't wait, though!
