Hi folks
Please be careful when quoting previous messages - if you automatically
include the lot, your message will not get through, as the last line
contains the automatic footer message - and THIS has one of the 'banned'
words in it: u-n-s-u-b-s-c-r-i-b-e
Similarly, if you try to send a message with this word in it, for whatever
valid reason, it WON'T get through. I've done this to avoid all those
'get me off this list' messages going the whole list membership.
For those who are interested, the following will cause your message to
bounce:
Not being a member of birding-aus
Putting dollar signs anywhere in the SUBJECT line
Using certain reserved words in the SUBJECT or message itself
Having a message longer than 25Kb (I increased this recently)
We may see a few changes to Birding-Aus in the next few weeks, as Deakin
are moving to a graphical user interface for maintenance of all lists.
As I will soon be an ex-Deakin person, we may also be looking for a new
home - I have some up my sleeve - depending on whether or not the people
who sign the cheques want to continue to support this 'community'
facility.
