Jill, Trevor & Tom, At long last! I heard a Channel-billed Cuckoo at 0319 hours on the morning of 30.9.99. It actually woke me up! Also heard a Sacred Kingfisher on the same morning at 0735 hours in the back garden. (Have heard one a few kilometres away a couple of weeks ago, but not around our place) Later in the morning I heard a Black-faced Monarch calling along the creek. We must get the stragglers!! Today at 0720 hours I heard the first Cicadabird calling along the creek at the back of the block.
