Well, I'm not holding my breath for the arrival of Channel-bills, but I did
see my first Sacred Kingfisher for the season on Wednesday this week (29th
Sept) here on the ANU Campus in Canberra. It appeared to be in a bit of a
panic as a result of a seemingly belligerent Red Wattlebird, but the whole
episode flashed past my eyes (literally) in a couple of seconds...
