So soon the questions have come in ! To answer some of your questions,
1. Yes, the Amsterdam Albatross was photographed by Tony Palliser, he
managed to
get some photos, between the rain. We anxiously are waiting to see the
10x8
glossys.
2. Yes, those lucky other souls who were on board did also get to see this
albatross !!
See Tony Palliser's home page (http://www.zip.com.au/~palliser) for the
Wollongong Boat Trip Report 26th September 1999.
3. The Albatross was captured and banded off Wollongong by Lindsay Smith,
Peter
Milburn aboard the Sandra "K" skippered by Capt. Carl Loves
and Vince Murphy (Deckhand).
Thank you to all who attended for your support, Keep the questions
coming, and
thank you for your interest in the worlds seabirds.
P.S. Black Noddy, Anous minutus,
was also a "First" for Wollongong! on the same trip.
Cheers Lindsay
