Hi all, While sitting at my computer in Burwood, Melbourne suburb, I heard a little repeated birdcall outside the window. Looking out, and expecting it to be a blackbird, I was pleased to see, hardly 2 metres away, a fat baby Little Wattlebird in our flower-laden Grevillea. It was begging food from two sleek parents who took it in turns to collect nectar then put it into the greedy open mouth. The heavy baby jumped from branch to branch following the busy parents, calling all the time. A lovely sight, and such easy bird-watching!
