What a fantastic view you must have had. I once had Grey Goshawk in my Parap backyard (Darwin) preying on Northern Water Dragons and another time a wierd looking adult bird that looked like a cross between Grey and Brown. A resident Brown Gowhawk lives in my neighbourhood. It once attacked me while standing on the landing at the back of my elevated house (one of three occasions this species targetted me. Must think I'm a spring chicken!). But the funniest thing I saw occurred a few years ago, when an immature goshawk had a go at my resident scrubfowl. The scrubfowl simply ducked and the goshawk crashed into an overhanging tree!
