Hi everyone,
I e-mailed Ian Hutton about Ball's Pyramid, and he got back to me with good
news. As several birding-aus people had asked me to forward infor to them,
Edwin, Murray &c, I thought I'd just post it to the groups as a whole. This
is what he said:
"Hi John
in the next week or so a new boat is going to LHI to do tourist trips. One
trip will be to Ball's Pyramid for sightseeing. It will be a fast (35knots)
twin hull boat for 12 passengers. So you will be in luck when you visit and
should be able to take this boat - The Pyramid is 23 km from the Island but
should be 30-40 minutes run in this new boat. The owners of Trader Nicks
and Blue Peters own the boat and it will do a scheduled service with
printed timetable available when you reach the Island. Good luck.
