Driving home from work yesterday, and stopped at the traffic lights at a small suburban shopping centre in Moorooka, a few k's from Brisbane, we watched a Collared SPARROWhawk flash into a line of recently planted trees (3-4 m tall) outside the bakery and then emerge with a HOUSE SPARROW in its talons. Its the first time I've ever seen a SPARROWhawk actually take a SPARROW. Cheers Peter Dr Peter Woodall email = Division of Vet Pathology & Anatomy School of Veterinary Science & An. Prod.
