Hello Cuckoo-folk At 2:00 this morning, I heard a Channel-billed Cuckoo call as it flew by (no, I was not dreaming, I was wide awake!) First record for the year and some weeks earlier than I usually note the first birds here in south-central Queensland. Noting the early Koel record in Victoria posted earlier this week, perhaps all the migrants are back early this year. Has anyone else recorded CBC's yet? -- +----------------------------------------+ Richard Johnson Senior Conservation Officer, Habitat Case Studies Roma District Tel: (07) 4622 4266 Fax: (07) 4622 4151 E-mail: To unsubscribe from this list, please send a message to Include ONLY "unsubscribe birding-aus" in the message body (without the quotes) |
