Not to belabour the point, but here is one more reference which I neglected to include regarding the effects of fenthion on non-target species from the Journal of Raptor Research, 1998, vol32(2), pp 151-158 which concludes that fenthion often kills or debilitates non-target species and is a too non-specific pesticide.
