For anyone interested, I have listed below a few references which address
risks and/or effects of fenthion application to non-target species (mostly
        McKenzie R, Lanham A, et al.  1996.  Fenthion poisoning of native birds

        Roux D, Jooste S, et al.  1995.  An aquatic toxicological evaluation of
fenthion in the context of finch control in South Africa.  Ecotoxicology &
Environmental Safety.  31(2):164-72.

        Keith, JO, Ngondi JG, et al.  1994.  Environmental effects on wetlands 
Queletox registered applied to ploceid roosts in Kenya.  Environmental

        Vyas NB, Thiele LA, et al.  1998.  Possible mechanisms for sensitivity

Most of these journals should be available from a good university library.
