Oh, to be birding in Melbourne now that Spring is here!

Now that Lorne has set the scene lets hear from all those other birding
poets out there. Perhaps we could have an award for the best
contributions??

cheers

Here I am utterly
with the purest head-emerald
within the bleeding dark amber twilight of Mt. Lewis
seeing the eye of God within Golden Bowerbirds
then a descent through levels of brown soul
to the richest avenues of existence
somewhere inside Kingfisher Park, Julatten
where a Papuan harrier vanishes into the everlasting green tapestry
below the stratosphere blue of early morning
and the delerious lightness of birding.
I smile and stretch eternally to the music of
Red-necked Crakes and the
avifaunal harmony meaning heaven on high.

Peace all,

Lorne.
