The pattern of records from Melbourne that I've seen is consistent with
the rumour that many derive from a release of birds around Braeside.  So
in the City of Bayside they've spread north through all the golf courses
since the first record in 1994.

A few months ago someone mentioned a publication on this topic which
confirmed (?) the captive origin of the birds.  If anyone knows about it
I would be very grateful to know where it appeared.
