Hi Keith
Am catching up on my email backlog, and came across your message below.

Reminds me of a delightful 15 or so minutes I had with a Western Spinebill
(WS) (Acanthorhynchus superciliosus) in woodland at Jandakot south of
Perth, WA. It had been raining quite heavily, then the sun came out. The
WS took advantage of a discarded plastic take-away food container filled
with rainwater, and had a long, though cold, bath in it. I remember
thinking how ironic it was that even man's wastage and littering can
sometimes be an advantage to our wildlife. The sun happened to shine on
the bathing bird too, so the view was even more attractive.
Cheers
Jenn Muir
