Carol Probert recently posted a message about where one could source sustainably produced firewood in NSW. Here in Victoria a colleague has informed me the following suppliers are good sources of Sugar Gum grown in woodlots for firewood. This plantation grown Sugargum sells for between $120 and $140 a tonne. The suppliers are: 1.Peter Daliosio, Thomastown Firewood Supplies, 9464 1402 2.Max Henshall, Wattle Glen, 9438 3135 3.Bridge Inn Firewood, Mernda 9717 3430 Martin O'Brien Executive Scientific Officer Scientific Advisory Committee Threatened Species Program Department of Natural Resources and Environment 4/250 Victoria Pde., East Melbourne, 3002 Victoria, AUSTRALIA tel: +61 3 9412 4567 fax: +61 3 9412 4586 e-mail: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To unsubscribe from this list, please send a message to Include ONLY "unsubscribe birding-aus" in the message body (without the quotes) |
