In 1989, when I was relatively new to birding, I saw two black-headed gulls,
briefly, at Strahan, western Tasmania. At the time, I didn't realise the
importance of this so I have never mentioned it to anyone. The birds flew
past and disappeared behind some trees, they may have been Laughing or
perhaps Sabine's? A lost opportunity I'm afraid.
