On a visit to TB NP a number of years ago I saw five birds scratching around
on a path through the forest. They politely got out of the way as I walked
past then got back onto the track. Seemed pretty used to humans. They were
more like backyard chooks than anything else. Nice to see them close instead
of getting just a glimpse of some tail feathers as they wander off.

The Tarra-Bulga's are undoubtedly one of the best place to
see the Superb Lyrebird in Victoria. When I was last there
I was treated to a quadrophonic sound display - at least 4
birds calling - I was completely surrounded by the a
symphony of lyrebird calls!
