Just talking to Ron at Kingfisher Park late this afternoon and he and a local fellow had just had a brief look at a striking black and white harrier as it flew over the lodge - very white underparts with prominent black wingtips and long plainish tail. The other fellow said that this 'wierd bird' as he called it had been 'hanging around' Highland Park for a few days. Sounds more promising all the time. Highland Park is the country estate about 5 km on the Mossman side of Kingfisher on the north side of the road. Peter and I are going out in the morning to have another look. So if anyone is in the area, keep your eyes open.
