Fantail Cuckoos were very obvious at Rotamah Island (Gippsland Lakes, Vic)
over the Easter weekend. We heard a number calling and several were seen.
I too was suprised as I had seen or heard very few FC's (and Pallids)
around their usual spots over the summer months.
As to why they are calling now???
