I haven't been to Porters Creek dam since the early 80's, but in those days
it was pretty good for heath birds:
Ground Parrot, fieldwren, emu wren, heathwren, beautiful firetail, grey
currawong, rock warbler... Also recorded some rails up there that I guess
were Lewin's but never figured it out. A great spot to look Eastern
Bristlebird, but as far as I know never recorded there. Brush-tailed rock
wallaby. Well worth a visit.
