Martin & others You asked about whether the introduced Australian Magpies sing in NZ. We lived there for 12 years and and can assure you they sure do sing in NZ. In fact much of the research on their behaviour has been done in NZ. Claire Veltman did her PhD on their behaviour while at Massey University, and a lot of her work involved studying their calls and related behaviour.
