birding-aus G'day all Saw an interesting interaction between a Scarlet Robin and a Jacky Winter on Saturday (13/3). Location - southern Grampians, Vic. The male robin just wouldn't tolerate the presence of the Jacky Winter and repeatedly chased it away. I watched for about 10 minutes and there would have been a chase every minute or so. The robin was really stroppy and I couldn't work out what the Jacky Winter was doing to annoy it. Anybody else seen such an interaction between these species?
