Robert Berry, who organises the regular wetland and heathland counts at
Braeside Park, saw the Magpie Goose on 7/2/99 and it has been seen
subsequently by several people.  

Presumably it is from the population created by the release of birds by
the Serendip Sanctuary to replace the birds shot out of Victoria about
100 years ago.
