Many thanks to David James for his lucid and informative postings on
taxonomy, taxonomists and their oft despised but essential art, and related
matters. I immediately copied them to a Word document for permanent
retention.

I recently read a birding-aus posting which baldy mentioned SIPO
and OZPO, and my brain accepted this without protest. Is there (to
plagiarise a letter to the editor in the Weekend Australian) something I
can take for this? :-)
