birding-aus The forecast front (storms, hail, etc) for Melbourne today (Wed 3/3) was delayed, and ultimately downgraded. However, the afternoon was humid and increasingly overcast. Not surprising then to discover 40+ swifts flying over the Warburton Golf Course late in the afternoon. With the light (and my aging distance vision) fading and no binoculars at hand I was unable to be sure of their specific identification. A nice distraction from the challenges of the 17th hole nonetheless. Richard _____________________ From: Dr Richard Nowotny, Melbourne, Australia. Tel.
