birding-aus When we started planning our Australian trip, I figured I'd be doing well to learn all the new birds well enough to find them in a field guide. Though I'm used to using song as a major part of ID here, I didn't figure I'd ever be able to learn enough Australian bird songs to make it worth the effort. Now I'm having second thoughts and would be interested in buying tapes to use as a reference so that when we hear something & can't see it, we could maybe try and find the song on the tape. What recommendations of tapes would people have? There is not really time now to order tapes and have them mailed to me. Is there a place in Sydney, Adelaide, or Kangaroo Island that would sell them and what could I expect to pay? Thank you.
