birding-aus Koonung Creek Reserve, North Balwyn, Melbourne (alongside the Eastern Freeway) Melways Map 32, E 11 to J 12. Increasing numbers of Rainbow Lorikeets have been common in North Balwyn for the last 15-20 years. This Summer they have been joined by flocks of Musk Lorikeets numbering 30+. Mostly observed feeding in eucalypts and then flying off in a north-easterly direction each evening 8PM to 8:45 PM. Celia M. Browne, North Balwyn, Vic.
