For those interested, Toonpan (Lagoon), Serpentine (Lagoon) and Cromarty
(Wetland) area are in the Northern Brigalow belt and lie in a 150km circuit
south of Townsville, NQ 19*19' south, 143* E. The first two are on private
property; Cromarty adjoins the Ramsar nominated/listed Cape Bowling Green
Bay. Access to the latter (Reed Beds Road) is currently difficult as the
road is partially under water.
