presumably these were at Cromarty?

I think Serpentine is about 40 km S of Townsville. This is the first record
I know of from the Townsville Coastal Plains. I've recorded Choughs at
Speed Ck on Herveys Range, about 50 km W c. 450 m altitude. There is no
mention of Chough's in Jo Weineke's "The Birds of Townsville" which
incorporates Stephen Garnett's Townsville data. Unfortunately the data of
some skilled and energetic birders that have lived in Townsville in recent
decades is not recorded anywhere. Who knows what was seen by the likes of
John McKean, Kath Shurcliff, Gordon Claridge, Richard Johnson and Ray
Swaby? I can neither correct nor confirm.
