Hi Susan et.al., I too have seen both Hornbills;- Pied in Central Kalimantan and other parts of Indonesia, and Great in Nepal. I must confess I did not pick up on a problem on the program. But the wing bars on the Great are diagnostic. Apart from that, it would depend where the Attenborough bird was photographed as the two only overlap in Thailand, Malaysia and Sumatra and if it was outside this area distribution could be a clue.
