Janet,

The noise from the cicadas will drive you out of the eucalypt forests very
quickly, so do any forest walks before breakfast. I would highly recommend
you go to Dorrigo National park. There is an excellent motel just outside
the park, The Lookout Motor Inn,
Maynards Plain Road, 3Kms E of PO. From the skywalk, we saw Varied Triller,
Regent & Satin Bowerbird, 3 species of rainforest pigeon. On the ground
along the superb tracks we saw Noisy Pitta twice, 3 species of Scrubwren,
best views of Logrunner, Russet-tailed thrush, Lyrebird and many more.
