Hi to all wader watchers, shorebird scientists and mudflat enthusiasts -
The Australasian Wader Studies Group (AWSG) is holding a conference at
Phillip Island, Victoria, on Sat-Sun, 12-13 June 1999. The program will
consist of papers on the conservation of waders and their habitats in the
East Asian - Australasian Flyway.
Any interested person is welcome to attend. Registration is $85 (Students
$70), with an additional late fee of $15 for registrations received after
31 January. The Phillip Island Nature Park will sponsor entry for
conference attendees to Penguin Parade on the Saturday evening, after which
there will be an optional conference dinner ($23).
