Hi Folks Back again online, but may have some time to do a trip to New Calidonia between 5 and 12 December (perhaps if it not too expensive). I plan to use frequent flyer points to get there. I have learned it is prohibitive expensive there! Does Yves Letocart and other birders living in New Calidonia have email addresses? If anybody have been on New Calidonia where is the best place to see Greater Whiteeye on Lifu? Is there any specific soite for the Grassbird in Riviere Bleue. I suppose it is very difficult to see the newly discovered nightjar on such a short trip! Also would it be possible to get around to the parks without a car? I suppose the Kagu has become more common in RBNP and can be seen there without a permit? Thank you very much beforehand, will give info regarding South Africa i due course.
