G'day Chatters, Have just seen a news report on SBS (Australian) TV, that BEAL (Aerospace company in Texas) are planning to build a new rocket base on Sombrero Island, on the Caribbean Nation of Anguilla, would anyone be aware of the details and what action is being taken in defence of the seabird colony there? Apparently Brown and Masked Boobies are nesting currently and many other seabirds breed there at different times.....the report claimed that BEAL intend to recreate the nesting conditions on other islands nearby. Grateful for all input. Tom Tarrant Dayboro, Queensland Australia |
