Summary,
An excellent trip, pleasant calm conditions plenty of Wandering
Albatross one or two rarities including two Black Petrels and a very
confiding juvenile Buller's Albatross which followed us for 28NM from
well beyond the shelf to Sydney Heads. Large numbers of hungry Great-
winged Petrel and Wedge-tailed Shearwaters. Several races of
Wandering Albatross (potentially gibsoni & exulans) plus a reasonable
possibility that one or two of them may have been antipodensis one of
which was banded with a New Zealand ring (NZ R51696). Many photographs
were taken which may assist with the identification of these races
after further research. Also some of the seasons first Flesh-footed
Shearwater and Long-tailed Jaeger.
