Some of the birds seen yesterday morning at Putty and Howes Valley were Crested Hawks (Pacific Bazas), Wedge-tailed Eagle, Brown Falcon, Rainbow Bee-ater, Pallid and Golden Bronze-Cuckoo's, numerous Rufous Whistlers and White-throated Warblers, Grey-crowned Babblers, Spotted Quail-thrush, Speckled Warblers singing everywhere and very approachable, lots of Blue-faced Honeyeaters, Noisy Friarbirds and smaller Honeyeaters in the flowering Narrow-leafed Ironbarks along the Putty Rd. A very nice Spring day. E Vella |
