I encourage people to get down and get dirty for the Helmeted Honeyeater this weekend. 12,500 trees are being planted this week to build up the Honeyeaters' habitat, so come and help finish off the work. Where?: Corner of Beenak & Macclesfield Roads, Yellingbo (Melways ref: 305 K8) Days start at 10am and morning/afternoon tea is provided. For more information contact Friends Of The Helmeted Honeyeater So please come and help build up the habitat of the 200 remaining birds...who knows, in future with further corridor plantations we can get these birds back into the Dandenongs and secure their future. email: |
