The amorous emu story made me remember a horse I once had (and this is true!!!!!!!) She'd lost her mother at birth and I raised her. She always had contact with other horses, but she really fell for a male cousin of mine who visited regularly. Whenever she was on season, she would seek him out and 'show' to him vigorously! He knew little about horses so didn't understand what she was doing. The poor man was incredibly embarrassed when I finally explained (after some months of having a quiet laugh to myself). The stallion I owned didn't get a look in! Maybe emus do go for lingerie etc?...!!!! Annabel Hoskins Gunnedah Global Information Centre (Gunnedah's Public Library) |
