I have just had a report that a pair of Superb parrots were seen at Carroll (a small village just east of Gunnedah on the Tamworth road) during July. To my knowledge, that is the first report of these birds in our Shire, although at least one book says they come here. The closest I have seen them before is near Quambone, and also at Wellington and Canowindra. Annabel Hoskins Gunnedah Global Information Centre (Gunnedah's Public Library) |
