Ronald Orenstein asks about Brown Treecreeper around Sydney. I have seen
it but never at Greendale although I could easily believe it occurred
there. Greendale area which is south west of Sydney was a good spot to see
many of the dry country birds but it seems to have been over-run with horse
farms. Lots of white fences, all the thornbush under-storey cleared and
the ironbarks thinned out. (i.e. perfect noisy miner country) I last saw
Hooded Robins there on 9th Dec. 1990.
